Complex analytic Néron models for arbitrary families of intermediate Jacobians

چکیده
Given a family of intermediate Jacobians (for a polarizable variation of integral Hodge structure of odd weight) on a Zariski-open subset of a complex manifold, we construct an analytic space that naturally extends the family. Its two main properties are: (a) the horizontal and holomorphic sections are precisely the admissible normal functions without singularities; (b) the graph of any admissible normal function has an analytic closure inside our space. As a consequence, we obtain a new proof for the zero locus conjecture of M. Green and P. Griffiths. The construction uses filtered D-modules and M. Saito’s theory of mixed Hodge modules; it is functorial, and does not require normal crossing or unipotent monodromy assumptions. Mathematics Subject Classification (2000) 14D07 · 32G20 · 14K30

A Generalization of the Néron Models of Green, Griffiths and Kerr
We generalize a construction of the Néron model for a family of intermediate Jacobians due to Green, Griffiths and Kerr by using the theory of mixed Hodge modules. It is a topological group defined over any partial compactification of the base space, and it ‘graphs’ admissible normal functions. Moreover, there is a stratification of the partial compactification such that the restriction over ea...
متن کاملA variant of Néron models over curves
We study a variant of the Néron models over curves which has recently been found by the second named author in a more general situation using the theory of Hodge modules. We show that its identity component is a certain open subset of an iterated blow-up along smooth centers of the Zucker extension of the family of intermediate Jacobians and that the total space is a complex Lie group over the ...

We show that the limit of a one-parameter admissible normal function with no singularities lies in a non-classical sub-object of the limiting intermediate Jacobian. Using this, we construct a Hausdorff slit analytic space, with complex Lie group fibres, which ‘graphs’ such normal functions. For singular normal functions, an extension of the sub-object by a finite group leads to the Néron models...

We construct Deligne-Mumford stacks Pd,g representable over Mg parametrizing Néron models of Jacobians as follows. Let K = k(B) be a one-dimensional function field and let XK be a smooth genus-g curve over K admitting stable minimal model over B. The Néron model N(PicXK) −→ B is the base change of Pd,g via the moduli map B −→ Mg of f , that is: N(Pic XK) ∼= Pd,g ×Mg B. Pd,g is compactified by a...
